Schweets: POP-TARTS!

Passover is over tonight! Let the carbo loading begin!

I have been thinking about making these for a while now and I’m THRILLED with how they turned out. I used this recipe for the dough and this recipe for the glaze. Also look at my amazing GIF.

For the filling I used some homemade berry jam mixed with cornstarch. I ended up cooking these for a bit longer than the recipe called for so they were a tad crispier.

I won’t lie, these are a little tricky to make. There is a definite learning curve but by the end I had the hang of it. I might even look for a big rectangle cookie cutter instead of bothering with all of the measuring etc. And I mean even if they aren’t technically perfect the end result is PERFECTION. I can’t wait to make more with different sweet and savory fillings!
