Master Chef: Paleo Pancakes

I am not paleo but these are DELICIOUS. I used this recipe and will def be using it again… tomorrow (and the day after). I had tried the two ingredient (banana and egg) pancakes before and these are 10,000x better.

I kept the pancakes very small to make them easy to flip and cooked them on very low heat.

Enjoy!

Schweets: POP-TARTS!

IMG_0434

Passover is over tonight! Let the carbo loading begin!

I have been thinking about making these for a while now and I’m THRILLED with how they turned out. I used this recipe for the dough and this recipe for the glaze. Also look at my amazing GIF.

(Thank you Travis for enabling this obsession. You are my official go-to-friend for discussing crumb placement).IMG_0435 (1)I can’t even describe how good these are… and they look so professional! For the filling I used some homemade berry jam mixed with cornstarch. I ended up cooking these for a bit longer than the recipe called for so they were a tad crispier.

I won’t lie, these are a little tricky to make. There is a definite learning curve but by the end I had the hang of it. I might even look for a big rectangle cookie cutter instead of bothering with all of the measuring etc. And I mean even if they aren’t technically perfect the end result is PERFECTION. I can’t wait to make more with different sweet and savory fillings!

#TBT

#TBT to our perfect breakfast at the B&B in Appomattox, Virginia (where our nation reunited AND an ideal stopping point between CT and TN).

I could eat this now. No problem.

Good Morning from Italy!

JK! I wish. I’m crying.

Pretending to be in Italy with my Bialetti Moka and my cute new tray from Italian brand Seletti (from the Seletti x Toiletpaper collaboration).

I have been eyeing these trays for a while now and when I saw them start to sell out I quickly ordered my favorite two!

I love them… they are so weird! Look at the eyeballs in the flowers on the blue tray! They are so up my alley.

Schweets: Easter Cookies

Happy Easter! Look at these bunny butts!

To celebrate I made these super cute cookies and sent them to my fave NY-based Christians. I found this adorable cookie idea on Pinterest and tweaked it to make it my own!

The coconut flakes and heart shape tails are pretty much the cutest thing ever. 🙂
