Happy Cinco de Mayo! This cake was easier than I thought it would be and would be so cute for a Cinco de Mayo (or a Cinco de Quatro) party!
I looked at a lot of blog posts on how to do this but I ended up not following a specific recipe. For the cake I used a cake mix which made my life 10,000x easier. For the frosting, I made this buttercream recipe which MADE the cake.
Basically I made two layers of cake, cut the layers in two, cut out a circle from the top three layers, filled the cake with candy and then put one of the circles back on the top of the cake and frosted!
Make it a real party and whip up some guacamole and margaritas as well. 😊
